Mechanical Design

Have a requirement rather than a finished design? We develop the components, interfaces and assembly detail, then document the result.

When CJM Can Help
  • You have a component or assembly to develop, but need someone to carry the design work through.
  • An existing design needs adapting for a new layout, interface or operating requirement.
  • Your engineering team has a defined mechanical design package that needs additional capacity.
Typical Scope
  • Component and assembly development
  • Modifications to existing designs
  • Interface and packaging studies
  • Mechanism and layout development
  • Design reviews and agreed revisions
  • Manufacturing and assembly documentation
What We Need

Share the intended function, operating conditions, interfaces, space constraints and any existing CAD or drawings. We identify missing information and agree what needs to be measured or confirmed.

What You Receive

Depending on your brief, the package can include:

  • SolidWorks part and assembly files
  • STEP models or the exchange formats your team needs
  • Manufacturing and assembly drawings
  • Bills of materials and revision information

Analysis, physical testing, specialist review and certification requirements are identified during scoping. The project scope makes clear which of these are included and who is responsible.

Start a project

A brief, drawing, CAD model or photographs of an existing part are enough to start a technical conversation.
